A few years into my career, I was on the brink of burnout. As a junior lawyer in a high-pressure, male-dominated environment, I felt invisible, doubting whether I was cut out for leadership. I was drowning in work, struggling with imposter syndrome, and constantly second-guessing myself. Eventually, I hit a breaking point. I stepped back, re-evaluated everything, and made a decision—I wasn’t going to let my career happen to me anymore. I was going to take control.

That shift changed everything. I stopped playing small, learned how to position myself for leadership, and mastered the strategies that drive real career progression. The result? I secured five promotions in just eight years—all while taking three maternity leaves. I broke through as an underrepresented woman in a space where few looked like me, navigating the demands of senior leadership, motherhood, and board roles with a life rhythm that shifts as needed—sometimes work takes priority, and other times, family comes first. I’ve learned that success isn’t about having it all at once, but about making intentional choices that align with what matters most in each season of life.
